Looking forward to sharing more in the weeks to come. What resources might be helpful for the history and formation of the Church in Canada? Peter recommended a 900-page anthology of Canadian history in general and I just couldn't finish it. LOL! Anything shorter.

Holiness churches in Canada were the result of Methodist revivalists venturing north.....Phoebe Palmer for Atlantic District, R.C. Horner receiving education in Philly and coming back to Ontario then forming two Holiness denominations......Pilgrim Holiness and Methodists made up the Central Canada district. Canada of course was dominated by Anglicans and Roman Catholics. The episcopal Methodists joined with the Presbyterians in 1925 to form the United Church of Canada, part of the optimism of that era.........Anglicans, United Church currently collapsing......Holiness groups have merged into evangelicals in recent decades......all in decline......your writing will help us keep our heads and look to ways of discipling the people on the margins toward a "groundswell".....Great stuff.....
